Founded on 8 March 1990, the Bank Ekonomi expressed by Bank Indonesia as a healthy bank for 24 consecutive months since the opening and still survive to this day. Because the results of the evaluation is good, then in 1992, the Bank Ekonomi status to be successful mengakreditasi Bank foreign exchange services to form so that the community can be expanded and developed.

At the age of 17, Bank Ekonomi had a branch network and sub-branches as many as 80 offices in 23 cities such as Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, Bogor, Bandung, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Malang, Medan, Batam, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Lampung, Makassar, Banjarmasin, Balikpapan, Pontianak, Samarinda, and Denpasar.

Currently the Bank has succeeded in improving the economy of the On Line System to all branches / capem and the provision of ATM facilities which are spread throughout the strategic location. Economic Bank also works with a network ALTO and ATM network and ATM Debit PRIMA PRIMA. Economic Bank also provides phone banking and internet banking. All of which are intended to satisfy the customers of Bank Ekonomi.
